The hotel is out of the way but it is only a few mintutes walk to the Docklands Light Rail and you can get to the Tower Gateway & Underground within 20 minutes using the DLR. At first, we were disappointed at the location. However, we left the hotel early in the AM and spent the entire day in London..including dinner...so if all you need is a place to stay then this hotel is not that bad considering the price. Our biggest complaint was hard mattresses and pillows which made it difficult for us to get a good night sleep. Final recommendation, if you are flying out of Heathrow...get a room near Heathrow the night before your flight as it will take you over two hours to get from this Ramada to the airport.

My husband and I assumed that since it was a Ramada, it would be a great place to stay. The staff was somewhat helpful. The rooms are very small, but clean. The beds were not as hard as other European hotels, but I could feel the mattress springs and it was noisy. Breakfast is not included and there are no places nearby to eat at. The really bad part is that it takes about an hour to get into downtown London, so a lot of time is waisted trying to get into London. It also a five minute walk from the hotel to the actual train station, so if it is raining it is not a fun walk. It is also a long trip to get to Gatwick airport. We ended up paying over $100 for a cab ride because there is not shuttle to take you to or from the airport. I think if you are there just for business, it would be a great place, but for vacationers, it is not a good choice. I would have rathered paid more to stay closer to downtown.
